When it comes to the work I’ve produced for Caterham, one of the stand-out moments was being asked to re-design the nosecone badge that goes on all of their cars. Whilst it’s an incredible privilege, the job comes with a certain amount of pressure due to the Seven’s iconic status, Caterham’s commitment to evolve and refine their cars, while being mindful of the hardcore fans who love the Seven’s history and tradition.
Taking inspiration from historical Caterham badges, I re-introduced the Seven Cam in an updated design that is simple and sympathetic to the Seven’s heritage but firmly placed in the 21st Century and representative of the business as it is today. I’m very proud when I see this on a Seven and hope its remains on the car for many years to come. It’s pictured here alongside the badge it replaced.
